WTA Showcases Its International Freight Excellence With Two BIFA Nominations.

The British International Freight Association’s prestigious Freight Services Awards are almost upon us once more. A symbol of freighting excellence, these awards showcase the skills of British freighting services, the whole industry pausing to recognise the achievements of a few select businesses and individuals.

The team at the World Transport Agency are honoured to announce that they have been nominated for not one, but two of these esteemed awards, namely the Specialist Service Award and the Young Freight Forwarder of the Year Award.

To become one of the nominees for BIFA’s Specialist Service Award, a great amount of professional excellence had to be shown. For WTA, this came in the form of their work with one of the worlds largest car manufacturers in conjunction with a leading design company, who due to a contractual commitment must remain nameless.

Working hand-in-hand with this design company, WTA used their completely personalised, white glove experience to deliver the optimal solution for the car manufacturers needs. Charged with upgrading and standardising the appearance of a car show rooms across Europe, this car manufacturer needed a logistical solution that was not only trustworthy and secure, but also timely, efficient and environmentally friendly - with the ability to organise a widespread roll out of their goods. In answer to this company’s needs, WTA developed a brand new service product, designed specifically to address the challenges they faced.

Reverse engineering the entire process to ensure each component would achieve the client’s objectives, WTA were able to use their expertise to give both the design company and the car manufacturer an outcome perfectly tailored to best meet their needs.

This nomination showcases WTA’s ability to work closely with clients to discover, plan and carry out the best possible solution to their needs - WTA stopping at nothing to deliver the best quality service to it’s customers.

For WTA team member Nicolas Barrois, being nominated for Young Freight Forwarder of The Year has been an incredible and exciting experience.

After studying a Logistics and Transport degree as well as a Supply Chain Management degree at university, Nicolas has developed a deep passion for all things logistics. Honing his skills under WTA’s Management Trainee programme, he has worked in multiple areas of WTA, including the Road, Air, Sea and Quotes divisions, as well as the Business Development Department, giving him a broad and in-depth understanding of international freight services.

Through his time with WTA, Nicolas has developed qualities that help him to provide exemplary service to our global clients.

“I continue to learn and develop, and am passionate about enhancing value and expertise for our clients” said Nicolas.

These prestigious award nominations showcase the level of quality that the international freight experts at WTA can offer. They wish the best of luck to all of their fellow nominees, and eagerly await the announcement of the winners.

“We feel very honoured to be recognised as one of the finalists in the specialist Service Award and to have Nicolas Barrois nominated as one of the Young Freight Forwarders of the Year Award. We wish all of our industry colleagues the best of luck when the winners are announced on the 21st of January 2016”  Thomas Kuehn – MD – WTA UK
