Complex customs brokerage.

Complex customs clearance is WTA’s specialty.

It's our mission to ensure that when you're importing products into different countries, you're fully compliant and utilising cost-saving opportunities.

WTA is a licensed US customs freight broker,
C-TPAT certified, NVOCC and OTI licensed and bonded.

Sometimes customs clearance isn’t straightforward. This might be because you are importing food or beverage, or maybe cargo categorised as a dangerous good. Working with a specialist team like WTA is essential, as we can analyse your product, and advise what is required. And whether there are quotas or other restrictions on what you import.

Different Government departments determine the admissibility of your imports. For food into the US, something we support customers with daily, this involves the US Department of Agriculture, the US Food and Drug Administration and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. WTA have long-term relationships with all key government departments and a commitment and passion to keep up to date on the latest regulations and necessities.

International customs and government agency liaison

Through our years of experience and well-established relationships with relevant governmental agencies across the globe, we liaise with all necessary parties on your behalf to find the fastest path to clearing your goods.

Customs clearance can be a lengthy and complicated process

And, while businesses strive to make the procedure as quick and efficient as possible, it is far easier said than done. Even the most seasoned importer or exporter can find themselves in trouble when it comes time for Customs and Border Protection. Many things can go awry, resulting in costly delays for your company.

Helping you achieve a streamlined and reliable delivery

In order to achieve cost-effective international shipping, customs must be a streamlined process. Any delay can result in hefty costs. And, if you’re shipping perishable goods, the threat of spoilage is ever-present.

By utilising our team of experts, you can ensure that your shipment reaches its destination without undue delay or costs – helping you to improve your bottom line and productivity as a result.

Safeguard your shipment against extra costs

The logistics of transporting goods internationally are highly complex. Due to its complicated nature, it can, therefore, be quite an expensive endeavour for your business.

Naturally, you want to save as much money in the process as possible. This is where WTA comes in. Instead of taking a risk with your goods in customs, we can help you to safeguard your shipment against any delays – and the added costs that are associated with them.

We work together with customs and government agencies to identify the best, and most cost-effective, method of clearing your goods. We then hurry the process along by electronically filing entries where possible (eg through the new US Customs ACE system) and ensure that all requirements for your goods are met well in advance.

We are meticulous in our work, giving you a reduced processing time for customs clearance.

In the loop logistics

The last thing you want when shipping your goods is to be kept in the dark. You’ll naturally have questions along the way, and not knowing what’s going on can be an anxiety-inducing experience.

At WTA, we don’t simply see you as a case number or monetary figure. Your needs, cargo and goals are completely unique – and we treat you as such.

WTA: Cool. Calm. Connected. Customs.
