1. Get started
Create a free customs account with WTA via our online portal. Complete the Power of Attorney form, that you will see upon registration.
What is a Power of Attorney form?
This is a permission letter which allows WTA to act on your behalf with customs. You may use your own template, but we have provided one to make things as easy as possible.
2. Submit information
This includes the basic shipping information as well add documents such as:- Importer Security Filing (ocean)
- Commercial invoice
- Bill of lading
- Permits/PGAs (if needed)
Simply upload the documents to the portal.

WTA get to work
A fully licenced WTA broker will be added to your account. They will review your submission and notify you via the portal if any further information is needed.
They will continue keeping you up to date via the portal, and you can ask questions directly to your agent via the messaging tool as often as you’d like.
3. Clearance
Your agent creates your customs declaration and submits it directly to Customs via our EDI.
WTA are a licensed US customs broker
Which allows us remote file for all ports in the United States.
4. Payment
Upon submission to Customs, we will require full payment. Costs may include:
Duties
Custom fees
Brokerage fee
Disbursement fees
Freight and warehouse fees
5. Release of goods
Once Customs confirm clearance, you will receive a copy of your official receipt documents, and your goods can continue their journey.
