Transporting a 6.4 Tonne Machine - Land Speed Record Attempt

How do you move a 6.4 tonne machine to South Africa as part of Bloodhound LSR testing programme to break the land speed record?

John Sommer – WTA Co-CEO has always been fascinated with speed and engineering feats. When John read that Ian Warhurst and his team were looking to break the land speed record in 2020 he immediately got in touch to see if WTA could assist with the transportation of the car to the Hakskeenpan desert in South Africa.

The technology involved in the development of the car is mind-blowing- Rocket technology (Nammo), the latest military jet power (Rolls Royce) and electric power. Through they technological endeavours Bloodhound LSR have also engaged millions of science and technology enthusiasts.
